master locks have a good market name...There are not overpriced and offer some more security than the cheap locks you find usually installed by apartment management...
If you're not familiar with Bumping, I'll explain it. While it is illegal, you can purchase Bump Keys on the internet for just about any kind of lock. Then a person inserts the key & taps it with a screwdriver etc. You can make Bump Keys yourself, but they sell for just a couple bucks on the internet & that's usually what dumb criminals do. After being broken into multiple times & spending a small fortune continually changing locks, we learned how they were getting in. Kwikset is probably the easiest for them to get into, but no salesperson will tell ever you that. As it happens, most people do have Kwiksets. Although, other brands fare poorly too. Once we installed this on the interior garage door & the Master Bump Stop Combination lock on the front door, the problem was solved. Actually, I came home one day to find a small dent & scratch on my front door lock. Obviously, the thieves couldn't get in & they were mad. YEAH!!! These are the only locks I would ever buy & they're the only ones I advise anyone to buy. A professional locksmith could probably get in, but your run of the mill criminals certainly can't. I might add one more thing. I never use the Nightwatch feature. As I understand it, it does wear the lock out faster & I don't really need the feature anyway. It's the Bump Resistant feature that makes this & the Master Combination Locks a Must Have for any home.
