Small, portable flashlight that is ideal for purse or pocket for light when and where you need it. With 3 different light mode operations of high, low and flash beam, it delivers 13 lumens of bright light in a compact design. The durable cast metal body is lightweight and impact resistant. It includes a integrated flat key-ring for attaching to keys, backpacks, purse or anywhere you see fit. The 2 CR2016 Lithium coin cells are included and replaceable, with a LED light that never needs replacing and uses less energy, so batteries last longer and includes a auto shut-off after 30 minutes of switching on.

This thing must be from Mars! The picture makes it look flat but it actually has a rounded, oblique shape that looks like some type of NASA project. It is very bright and durable as others have described and you can toggle through hi, low and strobe. When you stop for a second or so on a setting the next selection will then turn the light off. If you leave it on it will shut down in 30 minutes. The metal space ship looking body is durable and held together with 4 screws... one of mine fell out. No moisture seal is present. It is the heaviest, brightest, most durable keychain light I have found. 2016 batts can be expensive though and if you use this light frequently the batteries will expire quickly - the trade off for such a bright torch. So try and find a deal on a multipack of batteries. You can get one of these at Target for $6 change and they sell a two pack of batts for $5... makes sense to just by another light and have a spare! This light would be ultra awesome if it had an eyebrow over the top of the bulb to keep the glow out of your eyes.
Only had this about a day and wanted to say how surprised I am with the brightness. On high, it's like a small flashlight. I had no trouble illuminating the far wall in a three car garage. Low seems enough for most closer in tasks and is brighter than you'd think. Helps conserve batteries, also. Beam type provides plenty of usable flood around the center. Interface is easy to use with a good feeling push button switch you don't have to hold down. I doubt it will get accidently turned on in your pocket or purse. Overall build quality appears solid. Keyring is of medium quality...easy enough to attach a heavier duty one. I'm a little concerned with battery life, but the trade-off for brightness seems worth it. You can save a lot on batteries here on amazon. I purchased two 5 packs of Maxell for under six dollars and no shipping charges. It takes two CR2016 button cells and you'll need a very small phillips head screwdriver.
Nice little flashlight! It is 2" long, including the bulb protrusion. Very solid. No worries about this flashlight falling apart! I always keep it in my pocket - just in case - but don't use it as an actual keychain. There is a rubberized button switch which you use to toggle through the settings, from high intensity to low intensity to flashing and then back to off. After a second or two, you are fixed on your selected setting and, thus, it will turn off when you click again. This means that you don't have to cycle through all the other settings in order to turn it off from the high intensity beam: you just go directly to off.Highly recommended.
A good compact keychain light but the switch is too sensitive I've taken it out of my pocket and it was ON for how long who knows but it will shorten the battery life.
I've has numerous flashlights on my keychain for many years because a light always comes in handy. Most recently I purchased this one and I was blown away by how much better it is than all the ones I've had in the past. It has a very bright white LED light, AND it has the option to stay on without the button being depressed (which I like because the weight of the keys would often cause my thumb to slip off the button). The only downside to it is that it's a little bigger than my previous ones: about half the size of my car alarm remote. All the same, Energizer has done it again in producing a light superior to all the others. I would have paid twice what it sells for! If you're going to get a light for a keychain, I definitely recommend this one.
This light is extremely bright, which is great. It's not exactly lightweight compared to another keychain light I have, but it's not grossly overweight. You push the button 1, 2, or 3 times in order to select high, low or flash (quickly) then after a second or two, push it once for off. Just purchased my 2nd one as it's a great little light.
I bought one of these at Target for under $8 to replace my old keychain LED light. This is actually the third or fourth LED keychain light that I've owned, all of different makes and models and it is the best by far in brightness and form. As others have said it features a three mode light, High beam, low beam and strobe, the way the modes are accessed is standard fair, push once, twice or three times on the button and it changes modes each time. Energizer has improved on others though by not forcing the user have to go toggle through all three modes to turn off the light. Once the light has been on in one of the modes for a few seconds, the next time you hit the button, it turns it off. I love this feature because I have several flashlights that don't do this and it's annoying to have to run through three button pushes just to turn them off each time. The finish on the casing looks like a smoked chrome and is very attractive in my opinion. I thought it might start getting scratched off or flake, but it has proven to be very durable so far. After maybe two or three months use it still looks great, and I carry this in my pants pocket with keys and coins so I'm pleased and surprised it has held up as well as it has. On that note, I will also say that I was unsure of how the button would do in my pocket as well. It's rubbery, but has not seemed to been worn or damaged in my pocket either. The other concern I had with the button was if it would turn on in my pocket by accident, but I haven't seen it on yet, so I think it's pretty well designed. This light is much brighter than my last keychain light and I like that it has a low beam because there are times when you don't want to have a super bright light on. The strobe I haven't used, but I can see how it would be helpful in an emergency situation. The light itself is thicker than most keychain lights, but is not obtrusively large in any way, in fact it's still quite small, just not as small as some others. It does have a nice organic feel and shape to it that fits in your fingers nicely and the rubber on the button makes it grippy so it won't slip from your hand. The only drawback that I can think of is that this light is much heavier than the plastic bodied keychain lights I've had in the past. All in all, I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a reliable and well built keychain light. If it saves you from losing something in a dark movie theater or parking lot, it will have paid itself off in one use.
mag lite, photon, others, many owned. this is best for its purpose. bulky but bulky is good. easy to reach, easy to handle, if you are very young, or very old you may have a variety of gripping issues: i.e. small hands, arthritis, etc. In the dark or with packages or books or you name it and on a key ring easy to reach. one click and three options (hi, low and flash) are very effective. live in a rural community with zero street lights and lots of trees, very dark upon exit from car. this illuminates walkway, tricky front steps, and useful to help with companion key to front door on same key ring. light powerful and bright coming from a led. four philips head screws, accessible by eyeglass repair screwset, remove compartment and can replace readily available energizer battery, also easily available on Amazon. have owned for six months and zero reduction in illumination intensity. have purchased about a dozen of these so far, have three key rings, and several family and non family members with keyrings. did i mention that rubberized on/off switch avoids slipping if wet, snowy etc, works with gloves on and could be used even in a roadside emergency to look under the hood or flash for help. more uses than i can think of here. no knocks on photon, maglite etc. they make good stuff too.finally, this doesn't look too funky if you happen to be wearing a suit (or other business attire) and give this to the valet to park your cah.
I did not buy mine from Amazon; I got mine from Target for $7. It's a great light for your keychain. The Energizer High Tech (referred to as just "the Energizer" in this review) runs on two CR2016 batteries. Listed runtime is two hours, but I've used mine intermittently for about three years with no loss in output. Output is 13 lumens on high, 6 lumens on low, and 13 lumens in strobe. The light source is one 5mm LED, which is exposed. Click the rubber switch for high, another for low, another for strobe (about 2.5 pulses per second), and another for off. In any mode, a two-second delay will turn the light off with the next button press instead of going to the next mode. The body is made of polished metal, and it has the heft of stainless steel. The back has four small Phillips screws for changing the batteries. A keyring is attached.I've used this light on keys, zipper pulls, and backpacks for years. It's tough, reliable, and bright enough for its size. I want more of them :-)
I bought my first one at a hardware store and it works great and lasts long and is of good quality. I came online to Amazon because Amazon is the best :) and I bought 5 more to give as presents and as a back up one for myself - even though I don't think it will need replacement anytime soon if ever. 3 different functions and it stays on without having to keep pressing it. Love it. :)
