I bought two of these and the first one was missing one of the mounting screws and the second one had a knot in the middle and was terribly warped. The warping was really bad and it was not possible to mount it to the wall, so we tried to mount it anyways and just a little pressure to flatten it out made it brake in half.
OK, it's a simple coat rack and it only cost $14.95, so what's not to like?Shoddy craftsmanship/manufacturing. One of actual hooks was loose and when I tried to screw it one I saw that the counter-sunk hole had been botched and the screw wouldn't go in far enough to not protrude and cause the mounting board to not sit flush on the wall...arghh. I had to enlarge the hole and try again. Got the screw in, but the hook still wasn't 100 % tight.It IS cedar and smells nice. It functions....but.... it's hard to like something when it just isn't 100% RIGHT.
This is a nice rack but it was missing the mounting screws. I contacted customer service and they were happy to extend a 20% discount for my trouble. Holds up well and looks good.
We wanted an inexpensive, nice enough looking coat rack and this one was beyond expectations. The coat rack is low, so our kids (1-5 yo) can hang up their coats, and it is easy for them to use and withstands them easily.
Even though it is a little small at only 21 inches wide, it serves its purpose. Out of the box, you could smell the cedar. I was going to buy a piece of wood and four hooks at the local hardware store, but that turned out to be considerably more expensive. Unlike some of the other reviews, mine came with all the hardware, and the craftsmanship seemed to be top notch.
We bought 2 of these for our five kids. Its one of the best things i ever bought. We store jackets, hats, and keys on the hooks. Great buy.
I ordered two of these from Amazon and one arrived missing a hook, but was otherwise ok (the holes were there etc). I called Woodlore directly and asked for a hook to attach and they sent me a new rack, no questions asked even though I did not purchase from them directly. Very nice experience.The racks themselves are very nice and sturdy. I have them mounted side by side in the entry way and they look good.
This is a nice rack. I received the rack several days ago and installed it today with no problems. When I first opened up the package I couldn't find the screws. Later I found the screws in a little package on the floor. The rack comes in an open package and I think they just fell out the front opening.
This coat rack holds an amazing amount of stuff. It has sort of double hooks so that with smaller items it really is used as two hooks and holds alot. Currently it has all the outdoor snowy stuff on it, three adult hats, three kids hats, three pairs of gloves, two scarfs and one adult and one child jacket, and there is still room for more.
This is a nice and functional coat rack. And the best part is the smell of the cedar. Love it.
