   I love the look of this fan but upon close inspectioin people can tell that the edges of the blandes are not "pinstriped" where the tan line is. It is just rough wood/particle board to create the look that it was painted. Mine is up high enough that no one but myself will know.    This ceiling fan is perfect with our country French decor. The lighting is low but very beautiful and I don't mind that since we have many lamps in our family living room. If you're looking for a fixture to light the room brightly this may not be the one for you. The fan is extremely quiet.    I really like how it looks, BUT the light is too dim for our eating area.    This was an excellent purchase!!!!!
