Craftsman 9-17562 Nextec 12-volt Right-Angle Impact Driver Overviews

NEXTEC 12.0 Volt Right Angle Impact Driver Compact and powerful, the right angle design is ideal for getting into tight spaces and handling the tough tasks that your everyday drill can't reach or handle. This powerful impact driver delivers more torque and works faster than "full sized" 18 Volt drills. The innovative impact mechanism absorbs the twisting action associated with most other drills and applies it to the work piece so your hand doesn't twist with the tool.

    1. Are you crazy on the price on here.I thought I could find this cheaper online but I guess not.Im going to buy it from sears speacilly on Blacl friday cause it goes on sale for 89.99 plus you get a 50.00 drill with it free...I guess buying stuff online is not always cheaper

    2. I had purchased it to remove lug nuts off my vehicle apparently 700 inch-pounds of torque isnt enough to remove them had to whipput the good ol tire iron. It may be good for driving screws but not for much else .

    3. I didn't know Craftsman made this until I saw it on Amazon. Great addition to my tool box. With the light and gentle trigger, it makes chores much easier.

    4. I purchased this from Sears three days ago and yesterday had a project to help my son put up some curtains in his home. The drill is small and feels good in the hand. I purchased an extra Lithium ion battery and they both charged fully in 15 minutes or so. The day I got the drill it would sometimes not work when I pulled the trigger, must have had a bad spot in the motor. After playing with it all day, it was ok. My only complaint is the chuck. I had to put the drill bit in my heavy duty vise and and pull and wiggle to get it out, This was so frustrating as I could not change from philips head to a 1/4 socket when doing the curtains so I returned the drill yesterday. I think I will get the Milwaukee right angle drill (2415-20) to replace the Sears. It has a conventional chuck that I have on my other Milwaukee Lithium ion tools.

    5. I bought this tool for my husband for Christmas and he loves it. He finds in many ways it is easier to use instead of a regular drill because of the compact head. The best part is that the battery seems to have a very long life. In fact, he hasn't had to charge it since he got it even though he uses it all the time.
