I broke the handle when trying to put in the metal file, not very durable! On the upside the files are Swiss made.
This product does a great job at bringing your chain back to life..The only disappointment is that it does not come with some kind of case to keep the parts in.I would buy this again
A very economical way to keep your chain tuned up. The price was extremely reasonable and it does the job well enough between fine-tuning or professional sharpening.
This is a perfect tool and even though I have a powered Dremel sharpener I love having this to back it up. A very well made product that gives you quite a bit of control over the blade sharpness and angle. Keep it handy where ever my chainsaw is.
After i recently purchased a chainsaw for cutting firewood and property maintenance i quickly found out that sharpening my chains was a skill i needed to acquire. After looking around i found this complete set of sharpening tools and decided to give this set a try. I received these very quickly and found that these were very easy to use. I clamped my saw in a vise gave it a try. After about 15 minutes i had finished both sides. The saw cut like new, fast and straight. Very easy for a beginner to follow, with the top mount guide on the file. (a million youtube videos are out there to demonstrate the technique) A very good deal at about the amount it would cost to get three chains done at the hardware store.
